The Annual West Vancouver Community Day has activities for all ages including 5K & Mile run/walk, a parade, music & dance stages, food vendors, a kid’s zone and a community day lounge. Happening on June 2nd, 2018, in collaboration with West Van Run Summer.

 

Event Schedule:

 

9 a.m.: 1 Mile run/walk coordinated by West Van Run (KIDS MILE starts at the same time as the regular Mile) 
9:30 a.m.: 5 KM run/walk coordinated by West Van Run
10 a.m.: Parade

10:30 a.m.: ​​​​​​West Van Run Summer Awards Ceremony
11 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Ambleside Park festivities
11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.: Beach Lounge 

 

Finish Line & Ambleside Park festivities include:

 

  • Greyell Portfolio Management team will be at the finish line of both Mile & 5K to present each finisher with an awesome finisher's medal.

  • Whittall Real Estate team will have balloons for all kids at the finish line!

  • Whole Foods Market, White Spot, Little BigShot, Sea 2 Sky Sports Nutrition and Innovative Fitness will be at the finish with refreshments for all participants.

  • Impulse, Moveo, Coast and Aquatic Centre Physiotherapy will all be offering free finish line massages and treatments.

  • POP-UP Adventure Playground, facilitated by Springfree Trampoline and Earth Day Canada with a visit from Olympic gold medalist Rosie MacLennan

  • Inflatable Fun sponsored by West Vancouver Community Centre Society

  • Stand up paddleboard rides sponsored by North Shore Girl

  • Classic car show

  • Mural unveiling and skateboarding demo, sponsored by Capture Photography Festival

  • Dance stage

  • Music stage with special thanks to Doug Macaulay and the West Vancouver Youth Band

  • Food vendors

  • Bike valet sponsored by Better Environmentally Sound Transportation

ROAD CLOSURES

The runs and the parade will go along Marine Drive (13th to 17th streets) , Bellevue Ave (13th to 17th streets) & through Ambleside Park. This route will be closed from 8:50 a.m. to 12 p.m.
